The combination of tools used, tasks, special exercises have a positive impact on the body of the participants. In addition, fitness boxing raises concentration, as well as gives an outlet for accumulated aggression, anger, resentment, which contributes to improvement of psychological condition of people involved.

This game type of boxing has several varieties: exercises with special equipment and a partner. They come in the following varieties:

  1. Imitation exercises (imboxing) – shadow fighting, combines elements of boxing and aerobics and develops mainly endurance, power endurance, agility, precision, flexibility, mobility, strengthens almost all muscle groups. Trained cardiovascular system.

  6. Exercises with rubber-bellied punching bag (pinch-ball). Rubber bands are attached to the bag: one of them is attached to the bracket upwards, the other to the floor. The pear can vibrate horizontally. Strikes on the pear make it move backwards/forwards. Rhythmic movements of the punching bag make a trainee maintain a tempo, to strike with a certain force and frequency. A sense of distance, accuracy and quickness of the strike, the ability to orientate in space, the ability to coordinate movements develops.
  7. Exercises with small suspended ball (pointball). A tennis ball is suspended from a horizontal platform (or on a bracket near a wall) at head level and single shots are thrown at it – straight from side to bottom. Nowadays there are two trends in the development of this quality.

General and special stamina.
General endurance is trained first of all with the help of all general training exercises, such as running, swimming, and skiing. The basic direction requires a long work of the athlete. We develop special exercises for a certain target group. In our case – for long and exhausting fights, both physically and emotionally. The main exercises for such training will be sparring, exercises with weights, on stuffed bags and balls, power load with a partner. Special strength endurance is also called anaerobic endurance.

What does anaerobic endurance do for boxing?
This is the increased efficiency of the athlete’s body in conditions of grueling work at the limits of possibility. The main goal is to counteract the fatigue of the boxer.

Such training is always carried out according to a certain schedule. As a rule, it is made by the boxer’s coach and he controls the degree of load. This is required so that the body of the trainer could first of all recover before the next session.

The most common exercises for the development of strength endurance.
The most common method is to work with weights. This includes cuffs, belts, and also dumbbells are used. The purpose of this work is for the boxer to increase the physical energy expenditure of the exercise. The execution goes on until the exerciser is tired. During the rest, which lasts about 2-3 minutes, you should monitor your pulse as soon as it is about 100 beats per minute – you need to resume the exercise.

Working with a bag has a good effect on the development of anaerobic endurance. Boxers perform the exercise for three minutes with a series of strong blows from 5-6 times and the rest between series is up to 5 seconds. This exercise should be performed until the athlete begins to lose strength. This will be noticeable in the overall physical condition: the speed will become much slower and the technique of execution will change. Bags of different shapes are used for this training.

Exercises with boxing paws will be an integral training of strength endurance. The main goal is to improve your punching technique, reaction, quickness and sense of space. The advantage of the exercise is that it imitates a real fight and it is possible to vary the load, which makes it possible to change the tempo, strength and types of blows. But the quality of the exercise itself is influenced by the trainer’s ability to use his paws and work with the boxer as effectively as possible.

There are also many exercises used in sparring.

The main criteria for these exercises will be:
Reducing rest time between training rounds;
Increasing the duration of the round;
Vary the intensity of the work in the round itself throughout the class – change partners. All of these key points are controlled by the coach and makes the appropriate adjustments.

In conclusion it should be added that this is only a small part of exercises and techniques used in the training of the modern boxer. The most effective training will be provided by a qualified boxing coach who will competently control the entire training process.

But nevertheless it’s an effective exercise, mainly it affects the gluteal muscles, calf muscles and almost all the muscles of the legs. Squats are very important to perform correctly, otherwise they can even harm the posture, tendons and knee joints. Feet slightly wider than shoulder width, back straight, slightly tilted forward, squat shallowly, stopping at a line parallel to the floor. Do 3-4 sets of 25-40 squats each. Increase the number of squats with each new workout. Such exercise will help to keep the tone of leg muscles, and if you want to pump them up, then use weights, for example, dumbbells. If you do not have them, you can use water bottles.

The “plank” exercise

The opposite situation is when a person decides to “intelligently” approach to the matter and asks his friends, acquaintances, and sometimes just the people who came to the gym, about how best to start working out, how to eat right and in what time he will look like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Such questions very much irritate experienced athletes, and therefore it is unlikely to get clear answers to them.

Improper nutrition
Here, most people have a very simple logic: eat more, gain weight faster. On this principle, they begin to consume everything in the fridge, from fried potatoes to glazed donuts. In fact, those who are gaining mass need to watch their diet just as much as those who are trying to lose weight. In both cases, attention should be paid primarily to the quality of foods, rather than the number of calories consumed.

If we are talking about gaining muscle mass, the basis of the diet should include complex carbohydrates and proteins. With proteins everything is clear, this is primarily meat, fish eggs, cottage cheese and other dairy products. The greatest preference should be given to chicken breasts, as they contain maximum protein with a minimum of fat.

Speaking about complex carbohydrates, most often different cereals and grains are meant, such as buckwheat, rice or oatmeal. Not to be confused in any case with simple carbohydrates, such as white bread, sweets and pastries. It is desirable to get rid of these altogether, because such products contribute to the accumulation of fat mass.
It will also be useful to minimize fats in the diet. They are necessary, of course, but the main source of fats should be fish or, as a last resort, olive oil, but not butter and not French fries. All of these things contribute to building up unwanted fat mass and make digestion heavier.

Costs of sports nutrition
Continuing the topic of nutrition, we can’t help but mention such a thing as sports nutritional supplements. The most common ones are proteins and gainers. They differ in the fact that protein is just protein, and a gainer is protein and carbohydrates together. People are often divided into two camps when it comes to sports nutrition. Some think it’s bad for the body, messes up the stomach, affects the hormones and is generally a terrible poison.
